some bi buck fic recs!!!
it had to be done. i think mostly bucktommy, but some buddie, some eddie pov, and some just buck being bi <3
the gift you gave him - @bibibuck (or Eddie helps Tommy be a good boyfriend to Buck and realizes in the process that maybe he's wanted to be Buck's boyfriend all along.)
as lucky as us - @bucktommys or, Ravi continually suffers as a third-wheel.
you've got me surrounded - @thatnerdemryn Buck never understood why he had lost so many sweatshirts and button-downs to past girlfriends. Nine times out of ten, they didn't even remotely fit their figure and they were only worn in the comfort of Buck's home anyways.
Then he puts on Tommy's pullover, and everything makes a little more sense.
just kiss me slowly - @capseycartwright tommy does this thing, when he kisses buck.
This Old Love Has Me Bound - @littlespoonevan In an attempt to better understand his newfound bisexuality, Buck tries to figure out if he ever missed any signs with guys before. The universe keeps interrupting every time he's about to think about Eddie.
every little thing the sun shows, well it’s worth it - @capseycartwright or - after his kiss with Tommy, Buck goes to Hen.
(fragile) handle with care - @rogerzsteven Buck gets hurt on a call, Tommy looks after him.
somethin' tells me you know why i lie - @clusterbuck OR: buck brings tommy to the madney wedding. eddie is absolutely, definitively not jealous.

I tried vibing some sunshine your way! I'm in England and we don't seem to get much of it these days, so maybe that's why it put me in such a good mood today.
I'm the same as you, only got into 911 properly after 7x04 (though I'd watched lonestar since the beginning - apparently everyone hates Rob Lowe but I still see him as Sam Seaborn from the west wing (one of my all time fav shows) 😂).
I've got no idea why there are so many interviews either, and maybe it's adding to how bad some of them are? Like it's diluting whatever messages Tim et al are trying to convey because they're doing it every week and there's only so many teasers you can keep coming up with?
If the current plot resolves with Tommy coming back by hiatus, or by the end of 8B, then the earlier interviews about hurdles to overcome, deepening the relationship, their romance being a romcom, Oliver saying he likes slow burns, etc etc will all make sense - but then the intervening interviews since then will look like total bullshit/outright lying? Idk, I know alot of interviews are by buddie 'journalists' and words can be misquoted and written with a bias, but some of them still seemed pretty clear the current relationship is over. Plus there's the interviews mentioning plots to come that definitely never happened, so I think I'm just back to wanting to ignore them as they cause too much unnecessary stress.
Plus why focus on the stress when the fic and speculation is fun. I've enjoyed mpreg before but never this much 🤣, for me it's the combo with the angst of a breakup makeup that makes it just chefs kiss.
And finally a robron question as I am pretty out the loop with it, do you think there's any chance of Ryan coming back on the horizon??
Sunshine from England?? No wonder it didn't work! That's too rare to send over!
I never watched Rob Lowe in anything before Lone Star really. Not REALLY. sometimes i see things and i'm like 'wait... he was in that???" - i did see some gifs (i think) of him and lisa edelstein in another show where they *also* played a couple. I don't remember what show that was though. But yeah -i've always preferred lone star over the OG. Even now every monday is like "oh hiii babies!!" And i don't think the fandom is as fucking rancid as the og fandom can be. (not the bucktommy fandom - i love everyone in this club, but you know what i mean) I've never seen anyone so *violently* hate tarlos and send hate to Rafa or Ronen just because they're not the person they think the other half of the couple should be with. Even my fellow Nancy/Marjan shippers (all 5 of us) who don't want Nancy with Mateo don't go around harassing Jules.
ANYWAYS - the interviews are bullshit. I mean Tim teased tension between henren and madney over mara, he teased eddie being the third wheel and buck not having time for him, he teased buck leaning on Tommy with the Gerrard of it all - none of that happened. And if you look at the quotes from Lou's interview especially it's more up in the air like "i have a job lined up, i'm going back to SWAT, and a few other things coming up and if they call me to come back i hope i'll have time" he never said he definitely 100% will never ever ever come back as Tommy. That's what the buddie baiting "journalists" turned it into.
And yes speculation is half the fun! I mean how many speculation fics has this fandom written the past six months? Or this-never-happened fix its. Or Tommy-was-there-after-all- fics. Keep 'em coming people! I'm not keen on mpreg fics though but hey if you're all having fun with them - have at it! I know how to blacklist and keep scrolling ;)
As for Ryan coming back... I REALLY hope so... but realistically speaking... i don't think so. But if emmerdale wanted to prove me wrong and give me Robert Sugden back for Christmas, i wouldn't hate that! just FYI @ soap gods

First character(s) you wrote for:
well, first ever fics were rpf so let's ignore that lol first when it comes to fictional characters - destiel
Main character(s) you’re currently writing for:
Buck and Eddie
Character(s) you haven’t written about before but plan on writing about soon:
maybe Madney? idk, they've been in my fics kinda in the background but I want to put more focus on them in the coffee shop au and I have a fun first meeting scene already outlined, and I really need to get back to it haha
Fandom(s) you’re currently writing for:
911
Platonic pairing(s) you currently write for:

Snippet of the wip you’re currently working on:
I wanted to share phone sex fic but saving it for tidbit tuesday lol so here's a random snippet of ch1 of alive shannon
“Buck!” Christopher exclaims, only a little less enthusiastically than usual, untangling himself from Eddie’s arms to rush to give Buck a hug.
“Hey, buddy. How are you doing?” Buck asks carefully, kneeling down to be at Chris’ eye level.
“My mom’s at the hospital.” Chris answers, his tone so sad and defeated, and on the verge of tears, it breaks Eddie’s heart.
“I know. That’s awful.” Buck gives him another hug, and Chris melts into it. “Everything’s gonna be fine.” he whispers, then looks at Eddie above Chris’ head. “Dinner’s warmed up. Please, eat something.” he adds, probably noticing how Eddie’s about to say he’s not hungry. He’s not. When he closes his eyes, he still sees his wife splayed on the bloody asphalt, and later in the ambulance with a tube down her throat. How can he eat with those images replaying in his mind constantly? Buck’s right, though, he needs strength.

Me, hoping this encourages you to write more Madney smut because 🥵🥵
Lol~ I started writing one thing and then got an idea for another thing and then settled on this, the third thing. So yes it did and here goes some smut. Proceed with caution readers. I call this:
After Workout Workout
The tips of her fingers tingle and she’s flushed red with sweat clinging to the edges of her hairline. Maddie is still catching her breath as she makes her way up the three long flights of stairs (she hadn’t wanted to take the elevator) up to Chimney’s apartment after her morning workout and run. Picking up boxing with Buck had been an amazing stress relief and the run she always did afterwards gave her time to simply be with herself for a few minutes. It had been a great workout day. She was quicker on her feet, her punches felt more solid and overall, she just felt pumped and ready for a relaxing day with her boyfriend after her brother had encouraged her to have an earlier workout session on their day off.
Her breathing begins to normalize as she opens the fridge, the pitcher of filtered water calling her name. She’s pouring a glass when she hears the door to the bedroom open. As always, his face brightens when he sees her and he's still shirtless as if he's just gotten out of bed.
His lips meet hers and he tastes of minty toothpaste. “Welcome back. How was the workout?”
“Good. Buck was Buck and did a lot but good otherwise.” In a swift move, he’s trapped her between himself and the counter, his hand sweeping her hair away from her neck. “I’m sweaty, Chim,” she laughs, halfheartedly pushing him away. She really is very sweaty and it’s not the best look and she’s not sure how she smells though she knows he is barely even considering either of those things. His lips press to her neck, nipping and she’s so gross how could he ever think whatever it is he’s thinking. Then his hands are on her shoulders, pressing into the spots that have already become sore.
“What kind of plans do you have today,” his hands are still massaging but have trailed down to press against tense spots in her back and gosh, that feels so wondeful. She begins to relax at the constant pressure and circular motion, melting into his touch and oh, he’s good. He’s got her right where he wants her, and it happened so fast she could have gotten whiplash from it. Maddie hadn’t known just how intense her workout had been but if the knots that are being released are any indication she may have gone a little overboard.
“Nothing much,” she winces but then sighs when his thumb presses on a particularly sore spot, leaning further into his touch. “I figured today we’d relax, catch up on that one show you said was so great.”
“Mhm,” he mumbles against her shirt just between her shoulder blades.
She makes a sound that definitely something between a grunt and a moan when his hands find another sensitive area on her side. Maddie can’t help bending slightly to place a steadying hand on the counter. “I should shower first.”
“Mhm, may I join you” and there really is no reason to say no. She raises a brow at him, the hopeful smirk on his face making it easy to say yes. What’s one more workout before she can really relax?
She grabs his hand and leads him to the bathroom, undressing along the way as she shakes her head at herself at how easily she just gave in. But the water feels divine on her sore muscles and her boyfriend is close behind her, his eyes hungry though she can't see them at this exact moment. Chimney behaves himself for all of three minutes as she drenches herself in the hot water. He helps her lather up, soap covering her shoulders, dripping down her body. They make eye contact, and he smiles before returning to his task. She's covered neck to toe in soap when he spins her to face away from him. Chimney's body presses against her, both of them under the spray of water, his hands touching and stroking and caressing as the soap washed down the drain.
His lips connect to her neck as his fingers circle her nipples. He pinches just enough, and she sucks in a sharp, stuttering breath. He encourages her to lean a bit more fully into him, her head falling into the crook of his neck as one of his hands travels down to her waist, to her hips, then to her plump lower lips. She briefly tenses, lets her lips kiss his to stifle a bit of a moan that slips through as his fingers pick up speed. Their kiss turns clumsy quickly as she gets lost in the pulsing of those lithe digits that have learned her body so well.
“Touch yourself, Maddie,” his hands stop what he’s doing and finds her own, guiding her fingers to her clit. If she had time to think about it, she’d dwell on how wet she is. She'd wonder if it was the added shower, but the truth is that it's because of him. It's always because of him and she wants to tell him to fuck her instead because this teasing has to stop, and it has to stop right now. She says his name, but he shakes his head, knowing how impatient she can be. The hand on top of hers encourages her own to circle her clit, to stroke herself until she finds a rhythm she can get lost in. Their breaths fill the air, combining with the sound of the shower. Chimney watches her, expletives and encouragement falling from his lips to her ears.
Suddenly he turns her and presses her back to the cool tile, ignoring the sound of her whine when her hand falters at her center and he drops to his knees. Maddie continues stroking herself for a second because he didn’t tell her to stop and at this point, she's so close she doesn’t think she can. She definitely doesn’t want to. Chimney's lips press to her stomach, his tongue dips into her belly button and she shivers despite the heat of the shower. His nose nudges her hand out of the way and his lips connect to her core, tongue stroking along her slit. Her eyes roll back, and her hands rake through his wet hair. Nothing compares to Howie’s mouth on her. Well, nothing except him being inside of her.
Chimney loves the way she rides his open mouth, rocking her hips against his tongue. He watches her from below, breast jiggling with each gasp and shudder and moan. He licks and circles her engorged clit. Her mouth drops open in an "O", her lips tremble. He laps up the taste of her as two fingers spread her open before entering her. She writhes against his fingers, pulses around them as his tongue continues to work her closer and closer to the edge. She flinches and rocks as he reaches further and further inside. Maddie can't speak, can't handle any more stimulation, can't handle his mouth against her, his fingers inside of her and she cums and cries out and cums and cries out some more.
With heavy breathing, Maddie turns off the shower before roughly attaching her lips with his, moaning at the taste of herself. They kiss sloppily as she leads them out of the shower and to the bedroom. They fall onto the bed, Maddie straddling his waist, still dripping with water as they become more fully lost in each other. They are definitely going to need another shower before their tv marathon.

stubborn suppertime (a very quick little madney baby fic with some uncle albert!)
Amelia Han is the most stubborn 6 month old Maddie has ever met.
Well, not with everything. She nurses just fine and takes bottles just fine and takes naps just fine, and plays on the floor with her daddy for hours just as joyously as any other baby.
But she just won’t eat.
Her and Chim have tried everything and more during the 2nd day of operation ‘baby food’. Here comes the plane, the train, the car through the tunnel. Chim even eats some baby food off the spoon himself to prove to their daughter that it’s just fine.
“Oh. Huh, I mean it’s not that bad actually,” he says, taking another spoonful.
Maddie gives him a look.
“What? It’s basically just applesauce except it’s in a jar and it costs more.”
He’s not wrong there.
Amelia giggles in her high chair as she watches Chim make funny faces, and when the moment is right Maddie strikes with the spoon, slipping it into the babies mouth.
“Good job honey! That tastes really good ri-“
Amelia gurgles, smiles, and spits it all out down the front of her bib.
“Okay, that was a good try.” Chim wipes her face with a towel and hands Amelia her favorite rattle when she starts to pout over having her chin cleaned.
Maddie sighs, resting her chin in her hand. “Maybe we'll just try again tomorrow. Third times the charm?”
Chim’s about to agree with her when Albert walks through the door.
“M’home. How’s my favorite niece?”
“Your favorite niece is being stubborn and still won’t eat any food.”
Albert makes a thoughtful noise and sets his bag down by the door, washing his hands before coming over to the table.
“Why don’t you let me try?”
Chim snorts. “You wanna try? Listen Albert we appreciate it but if she isn't gonna do it with us she’s not gonna-“
The spoon is already in Amelia’s mouth, and she’s humming in delight as she swallows the applesauce and smiles at her uncle.
Albert looks too smug for his own good as he pulls up a chair and takes the jar in his hand, getting another spoonful.
“I think it’s your energy. Baby’s can sense that ya know?”
Maddie raises a brow. “Our energy?”
“Yeah, real tense in here.” He feeds Amelia again, and she whacks her palms against the high chair in delight.
Maddie leans back in her chair, tension draining just a little as Chim does the same, looking over at her and shaking his head with a smile.
“They didn’t write about that in all those parenting books did they?”
“No, don’t think so.” Maddie smiles, turning back to their daughter and leaning forward to rub her tiny cheek. “Stubborn, stubborn baby. You know you’re just like your daddy in that way.”
“Oh hey come on now-“

Future madney in which they’ve just found out the twins are girls and chims dad finds out and he’s like you can’t even do that right, now you have no boys to carry on the family name; just four girls. Maddie isn’t entirely certain she’s ever seen Chim so angry before
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?” Chimney asks, clutching at the phone in is hand and Maddie is glad the girls are asleep primarily because she is exhausted herself, but secondarily so they cannot hear Chimney’s half of the impending argument with his father.
Maddie had begged him, begged him not to call. His dad never had anything constructive or kind or helpful to say; there was no reason to have him involved in their third (and final, four kids are MORE than enough) and final pregnancy. But Chimney, bless his soul, is not someone who is good at knowing when to quit. He’s too kind, too caring, and draws his sense of worth a bit too much from how others receive him.
And the quest for his dad’s affection and approval that will never come is something she’s never been able to quit.
She can’t hear what his dad is saying, but she figures out why Chimney is so upset when she hears her husband speak again.
“I can’t do what, right? Parenting? Because all my children are girls? Jeez, dad, I knew you hated women but I didn’t know you hated them this fucking much!”
She feels a little guilty for it, but she’s relieved to hear Chimney insult his dad-- not even insult him, to just lay out the truth plainly-- after years of sugarcoating and making excuses for his father’s many, many issues.
He does hate women, and it makes her feel proud of Chimney for him to be able to say it clearly, to call his horrible father out on his bullshit.
“A name is just a name, dad! Who cares if my last name never gets passed on? And news flash-- we’re not in the fucking nineteenth century anymore. My daughter’s don’t have to get married anymore, they don’t have to change their name if they do, they might marry a woman, or decide not to have kids, or decide to have a kid on their own-- so maybe the name will get passed on. But if it doesn’t? Who fucking cares. I’m not proud to have your last name dad, I’m fine if it dies with me.”
There’s a pause, and Maddie can tell by the way Chimney is quietly seething and digging his nails into his arms that his dad isn’t relenting, not that she ever thought there was a chance in hell that the wretched old man would.
“A name means nothing if you don’t love the people you share it with,” Chimney spits, “love means infinitely more than any letters on a paper-- and oh, you’re laughing of course you are, because the concept of affection is hilarious to you, because you wouldn’t know love if it smacked you in the face. I love my girls, I’m glad that I’m having two more, and I don’t need a son to prove or pass on anything.”
Maddie’s a little scared, not of him but for him because anger is rare for Chimney, and this level of it is incredibly uncharacteristic for him, and she knows there’s a good chance it will melt into tears the second the phone call ends. But Maddie can’t lie, she’s also prouder of him than she’s been in recent memory. And she’s proud of him a lot.
“I feel sorry for you, dad. I feel sorry for you because you’re such a miserable excuse for a parent that I know you’ve never experienced the joy I’ve gotten from Ruth and Cora with me and Albert. I-I used to think that I was the problem, but no... the problem was you. It is you, dad. It’s always been you. I’m not a perfect parent but I know for damn sure that I’m hell of a lot better at it than you.”
Another pause.
“Why? Because I actually love my children. Don’t call me ever again.”
He hangs up, slamming his phone down on the table before putting his head in his hands.
“Howie?” she calls softly, and she can tell by how quickly he turns that he had forgotten that she was in the room, “I’m proud of you.”
“Y-you’re proud of me?”
“Howie, I’ve been waiting for you to tell that evil man off for years. So yes, I’m proud of you. Just... please tell me that you meant it? When you told him not to call you again. Please. Tell me you’re done. For real this time.”
“I think I am,” he nods, “I can’t-- I can’t expose you or our girls to him, even if it’s just from my side of a phone conversation. He’s terrible. He’s terrible and I hung on too long and I’m sorry.”
“Are you sorry to yourself, too?” she asks in a whisper, looking up at him with desperate, searching eyes.
“I am,” he agrees, and she can tell by the tears in his eyes that it’s not an easy realization to come to, that it’s not easy to completely give in and resign himself to the fact that his father is never going to change, but she can also tell that he’s being sincere. That he is sorry to himself. That he’s finally realized that he can’t keep contact with the man any longer.
“I love you. I love you and I’m so proud. Can’t imagine a better father for our girls.”
“I love you, too. Can’t imagine a better mother for our girls. All four girls whom I love more than anything on this planet, even though I haven’t even met two of them yet. You plus our girls are my world, and I don’t need to include my dad in it anymore.”

2. Tell us about what you’re most looking forward to writing – in your current project, or a future project
I’m excited for continuing the collab work I have ongoing, and to properly write out Nothing Normal Happens at 4am, because it’s the nearest to crack I’ve ever got, and the first time I’m doing a crossover, so it’s going to be sheer chaos 🤣
16. Tried anything new with your writing lately? (style, POV, genre, fandom?)
I think I have!
Doing stuff in a very shortened, dialogue free way in Twisting of the Rope
Somehow ending up with a third person omniscient POV for my Madney stuff
More of a mix between angst, smut, character study kinda one shots
No change in fandom... yet... although I have some ideas for when I finish a particular show 😉
18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.
Already answered in a super rambly fashion here, but let’s see if I can remember anything else ... I played around a lot with Part of Your World, even though I still feel like I’m changing things as I go along, but I initially intended it to be closer to the actual movie.
spoilers under the cut (for those that haven’t read it already):
I had plans for Buck to write out his name in the sand, but then it wouldn’t make sense for Buck to not write stuff out throughout the day or explain where he’s off to. Also, not sure when he would have learnt to write underwater, and I see them as a more oral storytelling tradition (hence why Buck loves stories!)
22. Do you reread your old works? How do you feel about them?
Oh gosh yeah, all the time, although maybe not as much as I used to, but that’s just because I find writing easier than reading nowadays (...awks)

Madney + prompt 7
I’m keeping the content coming. Thanks for the requests! i hope you enjoy reading these as much as I enjoy writing them! Here’s my attempt to make sure this is longer than 2 paragraphs.
Without further ado...
Word Count: 1316
Summary: As soon as he rose from the couch, the power went out, encasing the house in darkness with only moonlight peaking through the windows.
Also Can be read here
-----
“You can’t catch me!”
“I bet I can! Wait a minute, you’re cheating!”
“Catch up slowpoke!”
The memory nearly brought Chimney to tears as he stared at the picture. In it, he and Kevin were on their new bikes that his dad had gotten them for Christmas. Chimney’s smile was watery as he remembered how pissed his dad had gotten after that picture because they rode right through the flower beds he told them not to. He put the picture back in the photo album it fell out of, placing the album back on the bookshelf. As he sat on the couch he wiped the moisture from his eyes, not wanting Maddie to see him and worry.
Looking in the kitchen, Chimney could see her, happily stirring cookie batter and singing along to Christmas carols. He couldn’t wait for his... Kevin’s parents to finally meet her. Diane’s been begging him to bring her to meet them ever since he finally told them about her. Maddie’s also expressed interest in to wanting meet them. He decided it was finally time for the people that mean so much to him to finally get to know each other.
It would be the first holiday he’d spent with the Lee’s in a few years. He didn’t mean for it to be so long and he made sure to contact them, but between work and other things coming up, he’d found it difficult. There were also the remnants of guilt he was powering through that still made being around them hard. But this year he’d resigned himself to doing this. He had no excuses, nothing stoping him from following through. He needed to do this.
“Chimney!” The sound of Maddie’s voice broke his thoughts, startling him slightly.
“What?” He turned quickly to see Maddie behind him, holding a plate of cookies.
“I called your name a few times,” she squinted her eyes as she looked at him, “are you okay?”
He didn’t know he’d zoned out like that. “Oh yeah,” she still looked at him like she was unsure if she believed him, “yeah,” he said with a bit more confidence, “I was just thinking about how excited I am for you to finally meet the Lee’s.”
The skeptical look on her face morphed into a smile. “I’m excited to meet them too. Which is why I want to make sure these cookies are okay. Don’t wanna poison anyone.”
She took a cookie off the plate to hand to him. Instead of reaching out, he held is mouth open, just to see what her reaction would be. Rolling her eyes in jest, she stuck the cookie in his mouth, allowed him to bite down on the sugary treat, before handing him the rest.
He saw her looking at him expectantly as he chewed. It was delicious, but he wanted to play with her a bit. So, he started coughing, not putting any force into it, just enough to make it look like it was bad.
Her eyed widened in pure horror, much to his amusement. “Oh my god! It was that bad?”
He cleared his throat, straightening his posture. “Actually it’s pretty good. Great really.” He popped the rest of it in his mouth, rubbing his hands together to wipe off the crumbs.
He looked up at her to see the shock on her face and the anger in her eyes. She shook her head at him. She opened her mouth as if she was going to say something, but decided against it and walked back towards the kitchen, leaving Chimney laughing.
“Babe,” Maddie ignored him, “babe, come on,” Maddie still ignored him, “you gotta admit that was funny,” he was still met with silence, “you know I didn’t mean anything by it,” a few chuckles were still escaping him, “can I, at least, have another one?”
“Absolutely not!” She hollered at him.
He looked up to see that Maddie was still a little mad, but he also saw a bit of a smirk when their eyes met, signaling that he wasn’t completely in the dog house. He intended on going into the kitchen to smooth things over with Maddie and steal a couple more cookies. As soon as he rose from the couch, the power went out, encasing the house in darkness with only moonlight peaking through the windows.
“What the hell?” Maddie asked as she walked into the living room.
As he looked out the window, it appeared that the entire neighborhood had gone dark. He grabbed his phone, turned on the flashlight and went outside to get a better look around. “Yep, the entire block’s out, street lights and all.” He commented as he came back in the house and closed the door.
“why though? I mean, we would’ve been the first to know if they were doing a rolling black out. And there’s no sign of a storm.”
“I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s fine. It’s probably a surge. The power should be back on soon.”
So, they waited, not being able to do anything else. The first hour passed, no power. The second was ticking by, still no power. By then his “soon” theory had been thrown out the window. They decided it was time to call the power company.
“Alright, they said that they’re aware of the issue, it’s throughout the whole city, they would not give me a straight answer about what’s going on, but their working on it. Oh, and they also don’t know when they’ll have the power back on. Given the number of people affected, could be tomorrow.” Chimney told her, making sure that he’d said everything that he was told. He put his phone on the coffee table.
“Of course they said that.” Maddie said in annoyance. His mood matched his.
She stood up rubbing her hands together, blowing into them. She started to pace and pulled the sweater she was wearing tighter around her. He couldn’t blame. The heat from the kitchen had worn off some time ago and the temperature started dropping. It was fine, it was only a record breaking 30 degrees outside. As if Maddie could read his mind she said, “this would happen on one of the coldest nights of the year.”
Hating that didn’t have another heat source other than his thermostat, he thought of another idea. “I’ll be right back.” He went to back bedroom and returned with several cozy blankets.
As he spread the blankets over the couch, he could see her watching him. “What are you doing?” She asked as he continued.
“You’ll see.” He spread the last blanket where he wanted it, “okay, perfect.” He sat down on the blankets, summoning her over, “come here.” She walked over to him, totally unsure what to make of what he was doing. “Sit.” She did. “Wrap your arms around my waist, lean in close and put your feet up.”
“Chim-”
“I swear this is going somewhere you’ll like.”
Maddie still look skeptical as she did as he instructed. He reached over her and pulled the first of the blankets around, making sure it was the thickest blanket covering her. He reached to his other side and pulled in the blanket to cover himself and his feet. He reached behind pulling the third blanket around their backs and shoulders for extra warmth, fully cocooning them.
“Since I don’t have a heater, which I am sorry about and will be rectifying tomorrow, I thought I could make do with what I had. Huddle together to keep warm right?”
She looked up at him, “I haven’t fully forgiven you for that little stunt you pulled earlier,” he pouted and she smiled at him as she snuggled into him, “but this is winning you some brownie points.”
“I’ll take it,” he said, wrapping his arms around her tighter already feeling his body react positively to the warmth.
